Centralny OkrÄ™g PrzemysÅ‚owy (COP) - heavy industry center built in 1936-1939 in the south-central districts of Poland. It was one of the largest economic undertakings of the Second Polish Republic. The goal of the COP was to increase the economic potential of Poland, expand heavy industry and armaments, as well as reduce unemployment caused by the effects of the Great Depression. About 19% of total investment expenditure in the years 1937-1939 was allocated for the development of the COP, with a total value of PLN 1,925 million.

Klaster COP also supports the Muzeum Centralnego OkrÄ™gu PrzemysÅ‚owego w Stalowej Woli, taking part in its exhibitions and conferences promoting the achievements of the pre-war COP.
